Has anyone ran into an issue where Pro Tools isn't updating the IO correctly? For example, I typically make a mono track, send it straight to an aux, and then to a print track. So it looks something like this:
Source Track - Input "No Input", Output "Bus 1"
Aux - Input "Bus 1", Output "Bus 2"
Print Track - Input "Bus 2", Output "Stereo Out"
When I set "Source Track's" output to "Bus 1" it sometimes sound phased, or muffled (I think this is dependant on what "Bus 2" is doing), but never as intended. If I then, simply switch the output routing to "Bus 2," then set it back to "Bus 1," the phasing/effect goes away and it sounds as intended. I've had this happen quite often from 10.8 through 11.
Has anyone else ran into this issue? I imagine it's some form of user error on my part with the IO setup, but this hasn't started happening to me until recently.
Thanks,
Mike

Strange. What version of PT are you on? I have seen a thing where the print track has about a frame's delay on it for some reason, but never a phasey thing like that.

Yea, later in the evening I had a new session with no plug-ins being used. I then added an EQ to the master effects send and it made everything flange. Maybe it's something with delay compensation. But adding just one EQ and getting this crazy flange seems odd. Still investigating. I'll let you know my findings...

Came in this morning and booted up the session with the EQ flanging issue...no flanging when adding an EQ. Maybe there's some memory leak causing issues. This is crazy, hah.

weird.
Maybe the computer just needed to reboot. It's crazy how often that fixes weird behavior.
