Chicago Blackhawks sound design

Post by joe_griffin » August 6th, 2013, 11:25 pm

Here's a piece I worked on at my day job recently. I did the location sound effects recording, chasing the Zambonis and workers around with a Sound Devices 722 and a Sennheiser 416 while they chopped up the ice. I also did the sound effects edit/design, adding crowd noise and goal horns to the game footage and putting together the sounds for the ice-breaking. All the ice sounds were from the location record. I recorded and cut the VO as well. I didn't do the final mix due to a scheduling conflict, though I wish I had. If I were to put it on a reel I'd probably do my own mix.

Not the same level of sound design as the video games and film stuff the rest of y'all work on, I'm sure, but it was a bunch of fun to do.
