Re: "Our Ambient World" Metadata
That would be great, if not, if we could dropbox that would also be great. My email is sam@samueljustice.net

Re: The "Crowds" Library
...is it worth being a little more comprehensive with our descriptions on the metadata? Purely for the reason that this is a crowd sourced library from all over the world, so being quite granular with description is not such a bad thing (as the whole point of this is to collect as many weird and wo...

Re: "Our Ambient World" Metadata
This is awesome - but for those who don't use soundminer, is there any chance a metadata embedded version of library could shared? All the other metadata editors don't support as many fields as soundminer (which makes me a sad panda).

Re: The "Crowds" Library
Hey Alex and guys, I've been sorting through my stuff and adding metadata - is it worth being a little more comprehensive with our descriptions on the metadata? Purely for the reason that this is a crowd sourced library from all over the world, so being quite granular with description is not such a ...

Re: The "Crowds" Library
Keep in mind that Windows also imposes tighter limits on filename lengths than OSX does. I forget what the limit is, but I know I've gone over it when unzipping on my PC commercial libraries that were developed on a Mac. -Dan. The most annoying part about that is that Windows also uses the path as ...

Re: The "Crowds" Library
The game audio workflow is definitely a different workflow in comparison to post, and I imagine there is a much heavier reliance on filenames when working in a game engine than there is when working with a DAW for film sound. However, I certainly hope that anyone using these files is going to rely ...

Re: The "Crowds" Library
I'm sure others do, but I have a copy of injector lying around somewhere. I can create a tab from text file and reinject the old files with the new metadata and chuck it up on GDrive if that also is of interest to anyone.

Also, for anyone interested, I've gone through the metadata of the Ambient World library and re-tagged everything according to what we do at Universal (while keeping all the filenames the same). Would anybody be interested in grabbing it if I put the text file up?

Re: The "Crowds" Library
Thanks Alex, that is some valuable information you have provided! I'm taking a guess here and assuming a decent amount of contributors wont have a file searching database equivalent to Soundminer's capabilities. Without the abbreviations in the file names, people can do simple searches in a finder/e...
